A unique trip is always brewing at The Travel Team. Executive retreats are just a portion of the expanding “bleisure” events that we plan where business and leisure are combined. The events are business focused with daily meetings and presentations to review industry trends and devise sales strategies. Adding a vacation, resort-style destination allows guests to experience the relaxation, adventure and locales really makes the retreat more enjoyable. After the meetings, travelers can spend time on their own or even bring their families to enjoy the destinations that are selected.
The Travel Team provides full service meeting management and event support to annual shareholder meetings, business trips, sales meetings, customer events and annual retreats. Through all of these events, many different services may be provided. Whether that be itinerary and activity planning, event staging, gift sourcing, wrapping and delivery, customized individual leisure itineraries, menu and meal planning, as well as children’s activities and babysitting services when required. We handle all of the research, negotiations, contract management and bookings. The Travel Team utilizes our web-based registration tool to seamlessly manage all guest profiles and preferences to facilitate the best results for each event.
In addition to business-related leisure trips, The Travel Team also support schools planning trips to classic American destinations such as New York; Washington, DC; and Disney World. Coordinating busing, accommodations, meals, tours and performances on a restricted budget is always a test of creativity and negotiation skills, one this team readily accepts. School groups are often looking for someone who can facilitate the trip and handle the details, and often request a travel host to ensure a successful trip. Having a host agent on-site with a group provides piece-of-mind for the chaperones and allows them to focus on what is important – the students! The Travel Team coordinates security to ensure that the group has that extra support to maintain the safety of the students. All of these elements are done based on the request of each individual school and the trips are customized for their needs.
The Travel Team also plans “foodie” trips. Working with restaurant owners and chefs, we are able to take groups to different locations and provide one-of-a-kind experiences, where cooking classes, wine tasting and local tours are expanded from the basic tourist level. It goes beyond just a wine tasting or pre-planned cooking class. Having a restauranteur host and travel with these culinary-themed groups guides the guests through local food and wine with a unique and personalized experience that will provide memories for years. These trips provide group travel that doesn’t feel like group travel. Limiting the size to 20 people allows for a smaller vehicle and the freedom to go off and explore on your own. To complement these insider experiences, we ensure that the group sees all of the “must-see” sights in each destination. The food and wine expertise paired with our knowledge and industry contacts is a winning combination.
