The Travel Team took guests on a once-in-a-lifetime, six-night tour of experiencing the magic of old Vienna and Budapest. Together, guests explored famous and rare charms of these historic cities, and enjoyed an exclusive opening at a renowned museum, one of Europe’s contemporary art fairs, and exclusive viewings at private collections and galleries.
“Our journey began in Vienna where we savored the historic treasures related to the Habsburg dynasty, with visits to legendary Belvedere Palace, the Albertina, and the grandiose State Hall of the National Library,” said Ron Luczak Travel Team tour host. “We examined the importance of Vienna’s renowned artist, Gustav Klimt, at the Secession Building, the Leopold Museum, and the Burgtheater.”
In Budapest, the “Little Paris of Middle Europe” situated on both banks of the Danube River, the three-night stay included visits to classic cultural gems such as the Castle Hill district and the former royal palace containing the Hungarian National Gallery. The travellers were welcomed to the “Art Market Budapest” as special guests for the pre-opening celebrations. They also had the chance to visit many of the best contemporary galleries of Budapest and discover the Hungarian contemporary art scene.
The tour included ample free time for self-exploration of Vienna and Budapest’s shops and charming back streets. Guests dined at some of the finest restaurants in the two cities, and enjoyed deluxe five-star accommodations at the centrally located Steigenberger Hotel Herrenhof in Vienna and the Ritz-Carlton in Budapest.
This tour provided the quintessential window into two elegant central European cultural capitals.
